Standeaven Brewery – Valley of 1000 Hills
If we are lucky their will soon be a new brewery in the Valley of 1000 Hills outside Durban. The Standeaven Brewery will be located at the Hazyview Mushroom Farm (Alverstone Hill) not far fromthe Porcupine Quill Brewing Company and the Shongweny Brewery. The man behind it is Shaun Standeaven (he and his family runs the Shongweni Farmers and Craft Market).
In an interview in Get It! Durban he says:
“My major interest is in brewing beer. I’ve started my own microbrewery called The Standeaven Brewery. Monday to Thursday I’m researching, brewing and bottling. Microbreweries are growing in South Africa, and I am fortunate to have a great feel and love for the business. The brewery will be launched at the Good Food and Wine Show in August.”
The Good Food and Wine show in Durban is 23-26 August at the Durban Exhibition Centre.
Distribution: The Standeaven Beers will be available at the Shongweni Farmers Market every Saturday.
Brewery tour: No brewery tour at the moment beacuse they are still working on the brewery.
Logos and labels: Will be release at the Good Food and Wine Show.

Hi good brewers, We need to know if you will be at the Good Food and Wine Show ? We will need a case of Press Club Stout, (excellent !!!) and we do have an empty case with empty bottles to return.
