Old but new brewery in Stellenbosch

While writing about Luyt Brewery and there new establishment in Stellenbosch I stumble across a new brewery (well new at least for me). Simonè Gerber informed me that she and her husband started there brewery 3 years ago and have been brewing as Barrique Brewery. The brewery have only supplied Restaurant Barrique on Vredenheim Estate in Stellenbosch. They have a Golden Ale and a Sweet Stout.

They have recently registered the company name “The Village Brewery Pty Ltd” and is in the process of acquiring a brewing and distributing license, to supply other establishments.

Yet another stop at the Western Cape Brew Route.
